Basswood Lodge is home to Big Muddy Workshop and Big Muddy Interpretive Studio.
Basswood Lodge's grounds are an arboretum. It provides a "learning landscape" in an urban setting, allowing clients, allied design professionals, and visitors to see a variety of native and well-adapted species in a Nebraska landscape.
The arboretum includes a variety of native plant species that provide food and shelter for native insects and wildlife.
We are implementing various green infrastructure features within the arboretum, to study how they perform.
We invite you to call or email, for an appointment to visit the arboretum.
